When running models locally, your GPU memory (VRAM) is the most important factor. For Windows/Linux, we recommend a dedicated GPU with at least 6 GB of VRAM for a good experience with small models (up to 8B parameters). For Apple Mac, any modern MacBook with Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, or M4) will work well. Openworld AI automatically calculates the compatibility of each model with your hardware.
